Tobacco Survivors United (TSU) is committed to protecting the privacy of visitors to its website.

For website visitors who are reading, printing or downloading information such as brochures, press releases or reports from this site, no personal identifying information will be collected or revealed about them. This web site does not use "cookies", which could potentially allow a web site to track information about browsing habits during multiple visits to a web site.

For visitors who wish to receive a response to an inquiry, information such as name and address will be required so TSU staff can respond. That personal information will not be used for purposes other than to respond to the inquiry without permission.

TSU routinely collects data on website activity on an aggregate, anonymous basis, which means no personally identifiable information is associated with the data gathered. To collect this aggregate data, such information as visitor's Internet service provider, the date and time of the visit, the link that led to the TSU site may be collected. This data is used to help improve site content and overall usage. The aggregate information is available to TSU staff and public. In other limited circumstances, TSU may be required by law to disclose information in response to various freedom of information and other requests from private individuals or governmental bodies.

TSU only collects personal, identifiable information, including specific email addresses, from site visitors, when site visitors voluntarily and explicitly provide it. This information is collected when site visitors use TSU email and respond to online surveys, and enrollment. Surveys conducted on TSU websites will not require visitors' names or medical records information.
